An Apocalyptic Dream
It was noon. Not just any noon, It was the last noon we would have all seen. The sun was setting. It was the prettiest sunset anyone had ever seen, but it was noon on the last day we all would have seen. As I was driving on some interstate high way threw some ratty town, the radio blared "To all who are listening, as we go forth with our final moments, pray. We will be going off air in a few moments. God speed to all". As all that was left was static. I looked next to me to find that the person I most dearly care for, had not been their and a part of me sadden as I prayed for his survival, The mere thought of him still being and staying alive gave me hope in what seemed to be a hopeless dream. As I looked out my window. The world was silent and baron. No sign of life, no wind blowing or creature was their. As I looked at the setting sun an orb started to grow from it. It wasn't a ball of light but a black and clear checkerboard ball. As I watched in silent awe time began to slow. The ball grew until it was bigger than the abnormally large sun. then a purple smoke like light escaped from the orb. The world, In my eyes turned blue, but with variant shades of blue. I looked around to fine, that those people driving me and everything else was dead. I could tell.. for some odd circumstances. Was still alive. The sun, was still their. The people as far from who I could see, had died and left as bones. The world seemed at this time to finally be at peace, with the baron empty light and sounds to guide me, I left what had kept me safe, to venture the world as it should be seen, with out a person or thing, to destroy its glorious beauty.
